Skull Gang leader Juelz Santana recently weighed in on Chris Brown’s no-show at last weekend’s BET Awards and said Jay-Z was largely responsible.

In addition to his reaction, Santana also took a few shots at Jigga via Twitter.

“i take nothin away from Jay-Z,” he wrote. “i dont wanna sound like a Hater but his swagger was on Zero yesterday. & i just heard thru the grape vine that Jay-Z said he would not Perform if Chris Brown was gonna perform.. SMH Sucker Move I woulda rather seen Chris Brown come out & do his tribute to [Michael Jackson]. It woulda been the 1st time he Performed since ? I know he woulda Killed it. ok Tweople. Yall do the Math. Again, we would like to send our prayers out to the family of Michael Jackson. I’m still in disbelief. MJ is the biggest star ever and has impacted so many of our lives, including Chris. I’m sure we all have our MJ memories growing up…I know I do.

At this time we all know of the BET Awards that will be happening this Sunday. We can all expect it to be a somber show - and full of tributes to the King of Pop. But one question on the minds of many is “will Chris be there to do a tribute?” I don’t know about you, but lets be honest - Chris is probably the one who would do it best. We all know how Chris has always mentioned how MJ was an inspiration to him and how he always payed homage to him in his concerts. Also we remember the award shows where Chris was the highlight - all because of imitating Michael. And despite all that’s going on in Chris’ life right now - I think people should put whatever feelings they have towards Chris aside and just accept the fact that it’s about celebrating Michael Jackson’s life…and having Chris be a part of that would only be right.

Twitter fans, there has already been a popular twitition going around trying to get Chris to perform a tribute. If you haven’t already signed, you can view it here.

But I have a feeling our wishes may come true somehow. Someone close to Chris has hinted that “something amazing is going to happen.” So fingers crossed, lets hope the BET Awards make this happen, I think fans of Michael would appreciate it.

Rihanna’s camp is firing off the first response to nude pictures, allegedly of Rihanna, that hit the internet today.

TMZ has learned the legal department at Island Def Jam Music Group, RiRi’s label, sent a letter to at least one website that published the photos. The letter refers to “unauthorized photos purported to be…Rihanna,” demands that the photos be removed from the site, and calls the photos a violation of “the Artist’s rights.”

It’s not clear whether Rihanna really is the woman in the buff because you can’t see her face in the nude shots. She is clearly pictured in two fully clothed pics.

Interestingly, the letter from Island Def Jam does not deny (or confirm) if it’s really Rihanna.

Our sources say tomorrow’s Chris Brown hearing will not end with a plea bargain, although we know both sides are deep in discussion. But it looks like Rihanna could score something big.

Rihanna’s lawyer is asking the judge to release the jewelry Rihanna was wearing when she was beaten. The jewelry was taken as evidence just after the beating and she wants it back — it was on loan from jewelers and they either want her to fork it over or pay $1.4 mil.

We’re told the cops would like to return it as well. There are reports the D.A. is objecting to returning it –
reportedly for leverage so Rihanna will cooperate. But our sources say the D.A. has not taken a position.

Rihanna’s lawyer and Brown’s lawyer want to take photos of the jewelry and use them if the jewelry ever becomes evidence in a trial. But legally, her lawyer doesn’t have authority to appear in Brown’s case — in legalese her lawyer doesn’t have “standing.” So the judge could simply refuse to hear Rihanna’s lawyer.

Los Angeles: The unauthorized release of a domestic violence photograph immediately
generated an internal investigation.

At about 7 p.m. on February 19, 2009, the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section began receiving numerous inquiries about the release of a photograph associated with a domestic violence incident that occurred on February 8, 2009, involving entertainer Chris Brown. The photograph appeared on an entertainment website. The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation.

The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence.

The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint.

A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.

Anyone with information concerning the unauthorized release of the photograph is asked to call, during regular business hours, (213) 485-4152. After-hours or on weekends, calls may be directed to our 24-hour, toll-free number at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (527-3247). Callers may also text “CRIMES” with a cell phone or log on to www.lapdonline.org and click on Web Tips. When using a cell phone, all messages should begin with “LAPD.” Tipsters may remain anonymous.
