Chris Brown And Mary J. Blige Collab for LeBron James Documentary
LeBron James documentary trailer, featuring Chris Brown and Mary J. Blige song ‘Stronger’.
The Mary J. Blige song “Stronger” that leaked in June now has an official home. It is the featured song on a new trailer for the LeBron James documentary, “More Than A Game.”
“More Than A Game” tells the story of LeBron and four of his teammates from his Ohio high school basketball team. It follows the Cleveland Cavilers small forward throughout his pursuit of his NBA career. The movie is scheduled for an October 2 release.
Written by Chris Brown, “Stronger” lyrics celebrate triumph and thank a partner for unyielding support through trials. It is unclear whether Chris wrote the song about enduring the scrutiny of his Rihanna assault or if the song was written after the incident.
However, the record is good enough to begin shifting the public’s attention back to Chris’ music and could earn Mary and Chris a top 10 hit.
Chris co-wrote several of his own songs, including hits “Kiss Kiss” and “Take You Down.” He also is a contributor to Rihanna’s “Disturbia.”
My Take: LeBron James is my favorite player in the NBA (the BEST player too), so i’m kinda loving that ‘Stronger’ is on his documentary =). Oh and lets hope that ‘Stronger’ becomes a hit record. It SHOULD, and i think it will, because it’s a great song with great lyrics that a lot of people can relate to. And it doesn’t hurt that it’s a CB & MJB collabo!
RZA Wants Chris Brown In ‘The Last Dragon’ Remake
Let me just say before you read this article — I’m pretty sure Chris and Rihanna are not going to be in this movie ‘together’. But who knows…
_______________________________________________________
Hip-hop maestro and executive producer RZA has been quoted as stating that he wants R&B singer Chris Brown to portray “Leroy Brown,” aka “Bruce Leroy,” in the upcoming remake of THE LAST DRAGON. He is also hoping to cast fellow R&B star Rihanna.
RZA has already spoken to Brown and the singer has expressed his interest. “I holla’d at Chris and he seemed very interested,” said RZA while speaking to XXL. “I never—I didn’t holla at Rihanna. But I holla’d at Chris one day. You know we came across each other in the studio, and I saw him at one of those award shows, and I said, ‘I really got you at the top of the list to bring this character back’ and he said—that he actually loved the character. He said he loved Bruce Lee and he’s a fan of THE LAST DRAGON. I was like, wow, that’s cool cause there’s four of us that votes on it, but my vote is on him.”
The conversation took place before Brown was arrested and charged with felony assault against alleged victim and girlfriend Rihanna. Yet RZA told XXL that the controversy had not changed his mind.
“I’m still with it. Yea, I think it adds even more of a dynamic so he could do good on the screen. I’m one of those kinds of directors though. I’m one of those kind of people that loves to get dynamic.”
In the original LAST DRAGON, Taimak portrayed a New York martial artist on a mission to discover the final mastery of martial arts known as the glow. Through a journey of music, comedy and martial arts action, he battles evil martial arts master Sho’nuff and rescues a beautiful singer from a corrupt music promoter.
In a recent interview with Kung Fu Cinema, Taimak stated that he will be making an appearance in the remake. Samuel L. Jackson has already agreed to portray Sho’nuff.
The film is being produced by Kerry Gordy, son of Motown founder and original film producer Berry Gordy.

Chris Brown Goes Homeless In New Film?

While his unexpected “I ain’t a monster” video is playing across the net, sources are saying that Chris Brown is lined up to shoot another film this summer.
In a story uncovered by GateCrasher, a source close to Brown said the singer will appear as a homeless kid who goes from “rags to riches”.
The film, reportedly shooting this summer, is titled “Tearjerker”.
Interesting….
Brown’s case is set to continue tommorow, May 28 (on felony counts).

The Miley Cyrus vs. Chris Brown Showdown
The second Saturday morning of 2010. That’s when that weekend’s first-day box-office grosses should be in, and when we should have answers to a couple of intriguing questions.
One, can Miley Cyrus open a movie without Hannah Montana?
And, two, can a Hollywood movie open with Chris Brown’s baggage?
Disney has pegged Cyrus’ The Last Song for a Jan. 8, 2010, opening, opposite the Brown-featuring Takers, the box-office tracking firm Exhibitor Relations noted on its site today.
The films aren’t expected to compete for the same business. They are expected, however, to make things interesting.
Written by novelist Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook), The Last Song is a father-daughter drama—or, considering Cyrus is the star, a daughter-father drama. The rest of the cast has yet to be announced. Shooting is scheduled for the summer.
“This is definitely a departure from Hannah Montana,” Exhibitor Relations’ Jeff Bock said in an email, “one that will allow the industry to gauge Miley’s fanbase, and allow her to evolve as an actress.”
Takers is an in-the-can ensemble cops-and-robbers movie (formerly titled Bone Deep) with Paul Walker, Matt Dillon, Hayden Christensen, T.I. and Brown. Following Brown’s arrest for his alleged assault of Rihanna, there was a report the film’s studio intended to “erase” the entertainer from its promo campaign. T.I., who’s also an executive producer, denied a Brown-out plan was in the works.
T.I., of course, has his own issues. The rapper has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison on a weapons charge. It’s unknown if he’ll be available, as it were, for the premiere.
Brown’s troubles came as the 19-year-old, once wholesome enough for the “Got Milk?” campaign, was picking up more film work. At 16, Cyrus already has two No. 1 movies on her resume: ast year’s Hannah Montana concert movie, and, yes, the still-running Hannah Montana comedy.
Brown and Cyrus were both supposed to perform at this past year’s Grammys. In the end, only Cyrus sang. Brown ended up being otherwise engaged.
Now, the teen idols’ summit will be staged at the box office.

Chris Brown, T.I Film Renamed ‘Takers’
Previously known as ‘Bone Deep,’ the Screen Gems film is a crime thriller being produced by Will Packer (’Stomp The Yard,’ ‘This Christmas’) and starring Chris Brown, T.I., Idris Elba, Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Michael Ealy, Hayden Christensen, Zoe Saldana and Jay Hernandez.
‘Takers‘ is about a group of criminals who find their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective (Dillon). Walker stars as the leader of the bank robbers; Christensen is a newbie detective.
Already completed, and despite recent troubles with Brown and T.I., the film is scheduled to be released in 2010.

Chris Brown’s Film Career In Jeaopardy?
Chris Brown x Bone Deep. All the blogs and news sources have been covering the fact that Chris is losing endorsement deals left and right, but now his check book is about to hurt even more as his once rising film career is now in serious trouble as well. Rumor has it that Sony Screen Gems, the studio that is releasing Chris’ next movie Bone Deep, is going to basically “erase” Chris from their marketing campaign.
The crime/action thriller which comes out Jan 8, 2010 was originally going to heavily market stars T.I. and Chris Brown to the urban demo but now T.I. will ironically be the main attraction (even though he’s going to jail) along with broader reaching actors Paul Walker and Hayden Christensen. Unofficial word has it that Chris will be “erased” from marketing material such as the movie poster, trailer and TV ads to avoid any controversy. The movie has already finished filming in Los Angeles so Chris will still be in the movie but just don’t expect to see much of him in the advertising.
Yeti says: This is bad news for Chris’ acting career. Being shunned from the music industry is one thing but Chris had a rising film career with his “boy next door” persona going on for him. If the rumors are true then he will lose millions in movie contracts from this fallout. The fact that he will be “erased” from this movie is just the first sign that Hollywood studios will be avoiding him like the plague as well. Chris’ agents and managers are hoping big time (and expensive) Hollywood PR man Alex Nierob can help save his career though…or what’s left of it.

UPDATE: Chris’ official fanclub site says this is just a rumor!
Lauren London Talks About “Caramel”

Amee Brown (lol) sent this in to me and said she got it from Lauren’s MySpace blog:
Director Melvin James is the director of the upcoming film, ‘Caramel’, a coming-of-age film similiar to ‘American Graffiti’.
The beautiful Lauren London and Meagan Good will be starring in the film along with rapper Chingy who will play the star quarterback who has a crush on Lauren London (she plays Caramel). There’s also a character named Cali (played by Chris Brown) who’s Caramel’s best friend, and he too has a secret crush on her, and he’s trying to win her over but Caramel is in love with someone named Peter, who’s a player.
This All I Can Let Ya’ll Know About The Movie Sorry.. We Start Shooting Once Chris Brown Finishes His Tour and The Film Is Set To Have An Early 2009 Release Date.. Make Sure Ya’ll Go See It
So, what we get from that is that Chris is confirmed for the movie officially and that he’ll begin shooting his stuff when he is done touring. Is this true? I’m not sure. It’s kinda iffy because he’s set to tour Europe in early 2009 (stay clicked for new tour updates). So, I’ll kind of take this with a pinch of salt. The movie is in production according to IMBD, but not too much is known other than the cast and some of the crew.
We’ll be sure to follow this story closely for you guys and bring you the latest developments.
