Chris Brown and Rihanna were conspicuously absent at the Kid’s Choice Awards this weekend. Both were nominated for awards (though Brown withdrew his nominations) and both appeared at the show last year.

“For them not to be here is very sad. I was looking forward to seeing them here,” said Soulja Boy. “Right now, it’s a sad situation. And it’s very touchy. I’m just …. it just shocked me when it happened.”

Soulja Boy said he’s spoken with Brown over the phone and that he’s “doing OK.”

“Yeah, right now, it’s a delicate time,” he added. “You know, the court date is coming up. I hope that they both get through it in a positive way.”

    Kudos for Soulja Boy! He seems to be sincere & hopeful that Chris pulls through this very difficult situation.
    This also may be a learning experience for him since he's close to Chris' age.

    BTW, Rihanna wasn't @last years KCA. I was very surprised since she was nominated along with Chris. Chris really "surfed" them up with his wins & she wasn't there to celebrate with him. Maybe that was a waning sign for this current situation.

    Tima1, Rihanna was at last years KCA. She even presented an award. That's where she said Chris and her were 'really close like best friends' and when asked if it was more like a brother sister relationship or a gf/bf relationship, she answered brother sister.

    …liz..MY BAD! I was thinking about the TC08 (Teen Choice Awards) where he bagged five "surfboard" trophies, lol. He won so many last year & was on his way this year uttil the grammys. That's an artist ultimate award but he might not ever see it the same, ugh! :(

    She was seen shopping with Chris carrying her cute little dog the day before & the day after that show. Everyone wondered why she wasn't there since she was nominated
