WASHINGTON (AP) — Akon says he’d work with Chris Brown despite the 19-year-old’s legal troubles and public image problem.

Akon says he doesn’t condone domestic violence. But he also says Chris Brown is human and people make mistakes, and he doesn’t think Brown’s career should be on hold because of it. He says Brown will learn from his experience and hopefully treat the next woman differently.

Brown is charged with two felonies for allegedly beating girlfriend Rihanna. Since the attack, Brown has seen his endorsement deals fade away and some radio stations have stopped playing his music.

    Akon is so right i think chris will learn from his mistake and become the man that everyone loves and adore people really shouldn't judges him because u only hear from only one side of the story be serious what if u were in the same postive as chris and u couldn't say anything and people were judging u when they didn't hear ur side of the story? think about it.

    Jesse Mccartney also came out and said he loves Both Chris and Rihanna and would be more then happy to work with them and prays for them and hopefully they'll come back from it.

    (It seems they took down all articles relating J-mac (including Extra and MTV) I believe his PR got involved).

    Anyways I found what I can from what he said on Perez Site.

    Singer Jesse McCartney says that despite all the dramz, he would like to work with both Rihanna and Chris Beat Her Down because he "loves what they do professionally."

    Which is sort of fine, but then he opens his head some more and lets the verbal diarrhea flow, telling TV's Extra, "From what I’ve seen and from what I know of [Brown], he's always been a gentleman. I've always known him as just a really nice guy. He's always been supportive of me too. Even in the early years when he was on top and I was just building my way up. He's always been really supportive…I think he'll be okay."
