Grammy Nominations!

I think the Grammy are stupid. They just lost points in my eyes. How are they not going to put “With You” up for a grammy. They put “Take You Down” instead so they can give it to Neyo. It’s an insult to Chris Brown. R&B Album nominees are J. Holiday, Mary J, Neyo, Karina, & Jasmine Sullivan. GIVE ME A BREAK ! Karina – wth has she done. I will not be watching the Grammy’s.

The Grammy’s ALWAYS go opposite of the AMA’s. I am pissed off right now. How the hell they put Karina and J Holiday up instead of Chris Brown.

I hope Chris DOES NOT attend the Grammys.

Well I’m glad that he GOT nominated at all…that’s a big achievement, BUT Take You Down??? Those old dudes at the Academy did that for laughs…

But I can’t see why “Forever” isn’t nominated for dance track or for pop…that was his best bet for a win in my eyes

And “Superhuman” wasn’t nominated either??? I know that sony submitted it because it was on that list from like a month or two ago…IMO I think that was his best grammy-esque song to date…I believe he would’ve won no doubt on that…his vocal range is really good on that song and the lyrics are good as well…

I’m glad Chris was nominated, but I think they nominated him for the WRONG things. “Forever” and “With You” should have been nominated. Those were his biggest singles besides “Kiss Kiss” (but that was nominated last year). He could’ve easily been nominated for Best Male Pop Performance for “Forever” OR “With You”. The Grammy’s are getting worse each year. SMH On a good note, I have a feeling he’ll finally take one home this year.

And another thing. . . “Disturbia” was nominated for Best Dance Track but “Forever” wasn’t?! WTF, are you serious?! SMH I doubt I’ll even watch the awards this year.

I don’t think he will win for “Take You Down”. He should have been nominated for “With You” in the R&B Male Performance and “Forever” in the Male Pop category. I have a feeling it’s going to be a Neyo night. “Closer” was nominated in the Pop catergory. Neyo for album of the year instead of Alicia Keys. I don’t know where they got Karina for R&B album. “Exclusive-The Forever Edition” should have been nominated for R&B album. I really feel bad for Chris that his most popular and best songs were overlooked.

“No Air” could win. I hope they both would get the Grammy if it won. That song is only a hit because Chris is on the track.

If “Distribia” won at least Chris has writing credits for the song.

I hope he does win for “Take You Down”. His vocals are the best of that group but looks like the Grammy’s are a big Neyo fan.

Chris Brown got robbed again this year for the Grammys.

This is not a video awards show so it doesn’t matter how hot the video. YES IT IS A HOT VIDEO. He definitely should win it for his vocal ability. I just wonder at how they came up that song for the nomination instead of his bigger hits. I luv “Take You Down” but it wasn’t his biggest hits off the album. Sounds like a set up to lose.

I think it’s fair. Guys you want “Forever” to be nominated? That can’t happen there aren’t any vocals in it. And in “Take you Down” Chis really sings, that guys know it better. And of course “No Air” has sooooo beautiful vocals in it, it HAD to be nominated!! I hope Chris will get something, he really deserves, but the competition is so hard…

Stuff the Grammys, we know they ain’t gonna give it to Chris, Ne-Yo will win Male R’n'B Vocal and some track we haven’t jeard of will win the collaboration song.
They are snubbing him again, he should attend, they like giving their awards to self confess druggies like Amy Winehouse now Li Wayne

“Take you down” vocals are really good. If you listen to the song and not watch the video Chris really sings well on it.

I think Neyo will win it. Just the way he was nominated in everything kind of gives me the feeling that’s who they are pushing to win. You see how Neyo was all up in the live nomnation show.

The only way I will watch the Grammys is if Chris does attend otherwise I will give it a miss. He will have to put on his game face if he does show up which I’m sure he will.

The Grammy’s can make it up to me if they get Chris to perform but usually the songs nominated for Song of Year performs.

For R&B vocal performance, “Take You Down” is the right choice. The vocals are way better on that song than “With You” and “Forever”. They were bigger hits because of the pop/dance feel to them. “Take You Down” is pure R&B at it’s finest. I really hope he wins both nominations.

I don’t consider it being negative just stating the facts. I will be happy if “Distribia” wins BECAUSE Chris co-wrote the song not because his gf sings it.

I wish Chris the best on BOTH his nominations. He still should have been in the R&B album category instead of Karina. The grammy’s always are unpredictable.

but if he doesn’t win guys, it’s ok. i think we forget that he’s ONLY 19! for him to have 4 grammy nods in his career so far is amazing in itself. he’ll have a lot of grammy trophies through out his career. the world won’t end if he doesn’t get it this year. he’s still CHRIS BROWN!! he’s still the biggest artist on the planet.

if his 4 grammy nods were decided by fans, he DEFINITELY would’ve won his other 2 nods and would DEF. win these 2 grammy nods.

I really feel like petitioning or something because Chris is being robbed for the THIRD year in a row and it’s not fair at all. He’s been working hard for THREE going on four years and they just toss him in any old category like it’s okay. I’m still wondering why “Take You Down” was nominated for anything. WTF?! “Forever” and “With You” were some of the biggest records of the year and they could’ve scored Chris multiple nominations and his album should’ve definitely been nominated for Best Contemporary R&B album since his debut album lost to B’Day. But they got Karina and etc. in that category. That is BOGUS to me. Bogus is the only word I can think of to describe the Grammy’s. If I was Chris, I wouldn’t perform or even show up for that matter. SMH This is ridiculous.

i am so happy that chris brown got 2 nominations but how the hell do u not nominate With You and Superhuman i mean hes done so much work so i know he will win bcuz i believe in him and i stay votin for him

y'all need to remember: the GRAMMYs are NOT based on what was a bigger hit than the other. that's what the billboard awards and the AMAs are for! the GRAMMY rewards quality… and here's the key… as determined by FELLOW ARTISTS in the Recording Academy. go to grammy.com and read the rules on how they come up with these nominations and awards. it's voted on by fellow artists, producers, songwriters, etc.

it's extremely disappointing that chris brown did not get more nominations. or at least for "Forever" (john mayer said that song should "definitely" be nominated. guess not.) and "With You." i believe "No Air" will win. it has the outstanding quality it needs to appeal to the professional musicians and members of the Academy.

does anybody remember if chris brown won any GRAMMYs? i don't think he has. and that is very disturbing. he may not be the ultimate greatest in the Academy's eyes (and there are good reasons why) but he is definitely better than what he has been given credit for.
