Mo Twister recently did an interview with Brown on his Magic 89.9 radio program and he gladly shares it with Funfare readers (through the courtesy of MTV Philippines).

Excerpts (slightly edited):
Mo Twister: First of all, I want to congratulate you on your great career. We love your songs Kiss, Kiss, No Air, With You and Say Goodbye. Your new one, Super Human, is doing great right now. Which one is your favorite?
Chris Brown:
It’s kind of hard to choose which one because every song does sound different. I think it’s the new one. I guess every time I put up a new record it becomes my new favorite record so it is between Forever and the new song Super Human.

MT: Even four-year-olds are singing your songs.
CB:
“Oh yeah, man! It’s incredible. I just like to inspire people with my music. I just love people feeling good about music and loving music so I’m good.”

MT: You’ve got muscles, you are dancing around and you are energetic. How difficult is it to be so energetic and singing at the level you do on stage?
CB:
“For me, it’s more like having fun. Like, I think I’m still young, so I still do the normal teen stuff that you do. Eat junk food…all that stuff. I think when I get on stage, that’s my workout; and doing shows, that’s my workout. Playing basketball, you know what I’m saying? You want to do everything, that’s mainly my workout. I just have fun with it.”

MT: Have you ever been in a dance battle?
CB: “I have been in a couple of them. It’s like an initiation.”

MT: How did you fare?
CB: “I don’t really know. I didn’t really lose but I wouldn’t say I was undefeated. I’m saying I haven’t really lost. I think the circumstance and one of the dance floors that I have put myself in has been whacked that’s why I would say I haven’t really lost. But I wouldn’t really consider myself 100 percent undefeated.”

MT: Do you find yourself being followed by paparazzi? Doesn’t it make you feel sick?
CB:
“I would say it does in a way. I’ve been trying to not worry about the paparazzi. I just try to avoid them and live my life. But I think, it kind of takes the mystery away from people being artists and being so great when paparazzi are filming them everyday and try to see what they eat, or what they are brushing their teeth with and stuff like that, so it is kind of annoying.”

MT: At your concert in the Philippines on Nov. 16, are you going to do numbers with Rihanna? Or is it really just, one of you goes first, and the other one goes second. Or is it all a big surprise?
CB:
“I just want people to be surprised. I think there is no point coming to the show, that’s why when you go to a movie and we tell you the ending of the movie before you get in there, that’s like giving it away. That’s why I think, when it comes to the show, it is coming soon so you all should buy the tickets because it’s going to be incredible.”

MT: How do you handle your money?
CB:
“I would have to thank all my fans for all that. But I think, what I do with my money is I save it. But sometimes, I love shopping, I love doing that. I get jewelry but I get a little of that; I’m not the bling-bling king. I don’t want a bunch of jewelries. That’s how I am.”

MT: Thank you, Chris. I know you’re going to have a great show when you get down here.
CB:
“We are going to have fun there. Everybody in Manila, just get ready, we’re coming down there. We’ll have fun!”
