Planet B Boy

Hey TeamBreezy France! It looks like our boy is headed your way. He tweeted moments ago that he’d be making his way to Paris to begin shooting his next film, ‘Planet B-Boy’  with cast members Josh Holloway, Laz Alonso, Josh Peck and Caity Lotz.

Production started in L.A. a couple weeks ago, but will be moving to Montpellier, France. The film, based on the documentary originally released in 2007, is tentatively scheduled to be released in 2012.

Check out what Chris had to say about it:

Looks like Chris Breezy will taking on the silver screen again. He recently scored a role in the movie Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man, based on Steve Harvey’s book by the same name. The book explores intimacy, relationships, love, and commitment from a male’s perspective.

BET’s 106 & Park host, Terrence J. will also star in the upcoming film and has already headed to Los Angeles to begin shooting. Michael Ealy, Taraji P. Henson, comedian Kevin Hart and Gabrielle Union will also appear in the upcoming film. Steve Harvey took to Twitter to congratulate Chris on his upcoming role. No word on when the movie is scheduled to release.

It seems UK fans are harder to please than US fans, as Takers arrives at No. 14 on the UK Box Office Chart this week, taking in a mere £208,000 from 151 screens. Compare that to the US release which saw Takers hit the top spot, taking in $20,000,000 over the first weekend. Apparently though, the film’s distributer (Sony) decided that it wasn’t worth marketing the film in the UK but would instead focus on its other releases a.k.a. The Social Network.

Landing with a thud at number 14 is heist action flick Takers, starring Matt Dillon, Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker, TI, Idris Elba and Chris Brown. An opening of just £208,000 from 151 screens suggests distributor Sony pretty much gave up on the title, presumably calculating that marketing cash would be better spent on the studio’s upcoming likely hits The Social Network and Easy A.
