“My mind sees in color—music paints a picture for me,”

Chris Brown preps for a comeback.
On a mild January afternoon outside a dilapidated Mexican restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, Chris Brown ambles up to a freshly painted mural by street artist Kid Zoom and starts giving the spectacular artwork a run for its money. With his white painter’s jumpsuit folded down and tied at the waist—revealing tattoos that span his torso and arms, including a shoulder-seated Jesus, two nipple-encircling angel wings, and the chest-crowning phrase symphonic love—the 21-year-old singer starts busting a few casual moves that soon have Kid Zoom and the rest of Brown’s small entourage madly snapping BlackBerry photos. For three minutes, all eyes are riveted by the series of flips and Capoeria kicks that Brown somehow freezes at the apex, his whole body hanging in mid-air long enough for him to flash broad, boyish smiles for the cameras.
Suddenly, a Spanish-accented, female voice cuts in from the sidelines: “Excuse me!” Eyes turn to find a very pregnant woman standing on the corner holding a children’s book. She points at Brown and then at the book, and calls out, “I’m about to go give birth and I want him to sign this!” Brown looks, does a double-take, yells, “Oh shit!” and runs over to oblige. The woman thanks him profusely, snaps the book shut, and dashes around the corner—presumably straight to the hospital. “Don’t run!” Brown shouts after her. “You’re pregnant!” He laughs and looks at his videographer. “You get that?”

Chris Brown will treat fans to a series of secret listening sessions — as well as an exclusive bonus track and video — during the week leading up to the Mar. 22 release of his fourth Jive Records album, “F.A.M.E.” (Forgiving All My Enemies). It’s all part of a global, interactive campaign that Brown is launching on behalf of his worldwide fan base, nicknamed Team Breezy.
The first listening session for “F.A.M.E,” which Brown also refers to as Fans Are My Everything, kicks off tonight (Mar. 14) in Los Angeles. It will be followed by consecutive sessions in Atlanta (Mar. 15), Washington, D.C. (Mar. 16) and New York City (Mar. 17). Each two-hour session (7pm – 9pm) will be held at a secret location and hosted by Brown and the Team Breezy team leaders in each city. The singer is set to head overseas April 20 to start his Australian tour.
Team Breezy — credited as executive producers on the upcoming “F.A.M.E” album — will also be offered an exclusive song titled “All About You.” Dedicated to Team Breezy, the track will be featured on a special “Team Breezy” deluxe edition of “F.A.M.E.” The deluxe edition carries a suggested $13.98 list price; the standard CD is priced at $11.98. The accompanying video, written and directed by Brown and filmed in the backyard of his Virginia home, will be made available through a code blasted out to Team Breezy members.
Enlisting street teams through viral resources including Twitter and Facebook, Team Breezy is comprised of more than 80 team leaders around the world, including the U.S., Australia, the U.K., Canada and Italy. This international team of fans has been responsible for distributing fliers, posting album artwork and similar activities during the weeks preceding Brown’s Mar. 22 release. Fans can sign on to become members of Team Breezy by logging onto the singer’s lifestyle website, mechanicaldummy.com.
Brown’s latest “F.A.M.E.” single, “Look at Me Now” feat. Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, currently stands at No. 4 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and jumped to No. 15 on the Hot 100.
