LONDON – Sony Music has launched a campaign to promote the new music release by Chris Brown, using CBS Outdoor digital screens.

The campaign also uses loudspeakers playing tracks from the album at the Westfield London shopping centre.

This is the first activity to combine audio with digital advertising at Westfield London.

For two weeks from today (30 November), every hour on the hour three tracks from the new album, called Graffiti, will be played across Westfield’s sound system while the ad for the album plays on CBS’s large screen in the atrium of the centre.

A spokesman from CBS Outdoor said the activity, planned by MG OMD and booked through Posterscope, aims to raise awareness of the album and encourage the 900,000 visitors who travel through the centre every fortnight to buy a copy.

Other activity to support the album includes other outdoor media, TV ads and online.

    Great Job.. good promotion.

  • annina

Promotion – is this why the 20/20 CB interview was broadcast LAST night instead of 12/11??
SHI–!! I R E A L L Y DIDN't WANT TO MISS THAT. Seems they are pullin ALL the stops to get that album the most sales in HISTORY next week (and an interview next Friday would be 'too late'). Stop pushin so hard pleez. I'm really mad that interview schedule was messed up….

  • Symone

    Yay!!!!!

I already got my deluxe order out and on Tuesday,I will be buying 2 more copies ! Go Chris,I'm pulling for him! I know a friend of mine was saying she hasn't heard any promotion and I told her because most of it's on the net,LMAO! Chris has millions of hits on his newest videos as well as the old ones, on youtube and most of the people are commenting on buying the cd.Many posters also display the date to get the cd! Chris is definitely getting promotion and I can't wait to "Crawl" to the store on Tuesday to purchase 2 more cd's!

  • michelle

Well this is great new! What is annina so mad about?

    • annina

Its all just so commercial – about making the money and havin the best 1st week sales and competing with Shorty's album and all that. I just wish they didn't feel so driven to go for those sales, by any means necessary (a promotion video? – but the mall music is cool – I'd love to be there). The strange last minute change in the interview time (though I found it on several web sites, and it was only a 10 minute uneventful interview. I've calmed down).

Chris, ya got the money! Most of us know you da best! don't worry so about the CD sales!
      Luv ya all the way….

      • michelle

Thanks for clearing that up annina.:D

    Sharrod,
Great job on keeping this website updated! However, there is just one thing that really bothers me when you post updates on this website. I have noticed that your posts are frequently grammatically incorrect.

It sometimes turns me off from visiting.

For all future posts, would it be possible for you to not use such casual language and present the news in a more journalistic manner?

It's just a pet peeve of mine. I expect to see it in comments, but not not on the actual news items.

    Thanks.

    • X, Y,"and Z"

      @Devin,

They've got a name: 'Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD)' and anti-anxiety medication for your obvious disorder. Left untreated, your angst will grow and quite possibly metastases into 'full-blown neurosis,' manifesting itself in anti-social behavior!

You should consider yourself fortunate, as a visit to ultimate Rhianna or TMZ ,would surely have 'pushed you over-the-edge!' The 'blind-and-deafening' disjointed logic and discombobulation, would have proven 'too-much' and given your, delicate state-of-mental health, may yet still, 'lay-waste', and permanently unhinge your from all reality!

Should you 'take-stock' of, 'Devin', you might mind yourself 'frightfully close to the edge!'
I'd suggest 'no-further' Internet surfing, rest and immediate round-the-clock psychological care!

      X, Y,"and Z" — OUT!

      • michelle

LMAO. Maybe he's a english professional. If so I could use his to proofread my assignments. LOL. He better also avoid MTO. :p

      • Devin

I'm not a guy and I don't have OCD. I do not visit either of the websites you listed above since I am not interested in the content that either of them hold.

I have been a visitor of CBW since 2005 and even helped Dominique establish this website. If he were not busy with other endeavors, he would tidy this up a bit.

There is nothing wrong with making sure posts on this website are grammatically correct.

Afterall, Sharrod is listed as a 'Lead Journalist'. I do not mean any of this to be taken as an offense and I am surprised that you are getting so overwrought by the comment as it was directed toward Sharrod and not you. He can speak for himself.

At least Sharrod would have the decency to respond to my comment in a more mature manner.

        • X, Y,"and Z"

          @Devin –

X,Y,"and Z" : decent, mature? Ha, perish the thought! We 'keep-it-real' here, toots. If you don't like the use of colloquialism, slang and street-parlance – move-along! I hear they're 'good' with folk like yourself over at ultimaterhianna, TMZ and as Michelle said, MTO!

Given the "impact" of 'Feb 8th Chrianna,' who,in-the-hell, cares 'bout intricacies of efficiencies of use of language? If you notice, it's ONLY YOU, who really cares, or is complaining; right? Sure I am.

But it is the "economics and efficiency" of language that gives rise to slang, patois and provincialism! And this IS why, the English language, is the world's most spoken: The celebration of it's flexibility – 'the-making-of-it- your-own'.

And who said, or who makes the rules, as far as, what is proper? Wasn't the English language, itself, born of a bastardization of two warring cultures? Sure it was!

And if you were to place the 'bookmark at Shakespeare,' then you, yourself, would be in serious need of remediation, no?
I find it ironic that you're correcting the language, on a blog, that caters to, and celebrates the work of a young man – an artist born from a culture – whose use of language is as 'dynamic and Shakespearean' itself!

          X,Y,"and Z" — OUT!

          @Devin

English, itself, is a 'bastardized' language! You're on a blog, a blog that celebrates – who is to be, the new KING OF POP! Popular culture is a function of vernacular, jargon and the "efficiencies of said language."
The culture that produced Chris Brown, as it did Michael Jackson, has taken many a liberty with, and pushed the boundaries, of English and added to it's grandeur, if not gravitas!

          X, Y,"and Z" — OUT!

  • breezyfan

thats a great job and that's good for chris brow and for us the fans
    LOVE YA CHRIS

  • wtf

glad he is getting promo on..i am sad he has not managed to do much in TV…i think if he had, all his music would be higher on the charts..i guess we have to rely on the internet…

@annina, unfortunately numbers are important..people will be looking at that to crash him..we have to make sure he gets the number one spot to silence them..its sucks but that is the worl we live in…all eyes will be on him next week so lets just get him there!!

    • annina

I have rethought that and I agree. Maybe I was just too pissed that I missed the interview (still wonder about the switch-up).

I just hope IF the numbers aren't there, we shouldn't be suprised, or too horribly disappointed. He IS doing this a little early. Yes I think he gotta do it, he's driven to do his thing. But it may be a while before he gets to the top spot. He may not get there – and IF thats the reality, I hope he can make peace with it, we all can make peace with it. He has a new life now, and its a little more complicated.

Yeah, I do all I can to defend CB and promote him, and I'll be buying 3 CDs, and telling everyone to buy one. I'm nervous about next week, but am thinking about what it all really means. They do say that first week sales are not the best predictors of how well an album will do – IMPORTANT).

  • caroline

Glad to see they are doing some promotion. I haven't really seen any. Already pre-ordered 3 copies, but may not be able to wait to get mine in the mail, so I will probably have to get another copy from the store on Tuesday morning. So excited!!

  • ch1rs

everyone go here reviews for the album are very bad !!!!!!!!!!!!
    http://www.rap-up.com/2009/12/07/review-roundup-c

    • Mel

Its called being biased. Most of them are going to be like that now. Don't listen to them. Watch the numbers, i've been told "they don't lie" lol

      • ch1rs

dont use the excuse that he beat someone up to a pulp so that is why he has bad reviews and of course he is going to get a good position on the chart as no other artists are releasing a album at the same time as him!

        • X, Y, "and Z"

          @ch1rs

I DON'T need anyone to make-up-my-mind! I'd like to think I'm NOT that weak, I'm going to buy Graffiti, as I have 'icty', 'crawl' and 'forever'!

Everyone, 'our- time has come', it's time OUR voices be heard; Are we to let, the likes of, TMZ, make up our minds? I say NO!!!!
I say we elevate Christopher Maurice Brown to the thrown of King-of-Pop! 'WE' didn't need the mainstream to get Chris back on top, 'WE' did it by use of the Internet: Christopher Maurice Brown – OUR new champion and KING OF POP!

          X,Y,"and Z" – OUT!

  • chianne

I HAVE seen some good reviews, in some mainstream media (who cares what TMZ says).
I like what I heard in the leak – but I'm terribly biased. I DON'T like the sex thing in Take My Time – the "collaboration" with some dame panting and whimpering like our boy is on top of her. That's some crass, cheap-ass stuff – seems like a real stupid decision to get that in there. I would think critics would jump on it.

God Chris – do the sex thing with some class! Take some lessons from Kelly and Trey!!

    • ch1rs

yeah he should talk about how he beats women not make love to them!

      • Breezyforevaa

Get off chris brown sites if ya hate him please

      • X,Y,"and Z"

        @Ch1rs —

You mean like 'SOME PEOPLE,' (in HER 2007 interview) talkin' bout smash bottles upside their brothers head? ……And, not only talking 'bout it, she was BRAGGING 'bout it!
Oh, what a great role-model for young women she is:
        *Industry whore
*Aggressor and Instigator when she gets angry – JUST like she did on Feb 8th!
        *Can't Sing
        *Can't Dance
        *Can't write ANY music.
        *Fu-cks to get ahead.
*Goes on National Television and lies and lies and lies and lies…..
        Rhianna, have you NO shame?

The wait is ova —-Let the 'Flop,' that is the 'Brand Rhianna' begin 'in-earnest!'
        X,Y,"and Z" — OUT!

Symone……To all my fellow Chris Brown fans: Don't worry about these Chris Brown haters, they are just mad because Rihanna's cd didn't do Susan Boyle type numbers especially since she had the benefit of the biased media in her favor,so lets wish them well because they are just hella miserable at this point!
