LeBron James documentary trailer, featuring Chris Brown and Mary J. Blige song ‘Stronger’.

The Mary J. Blige song “Stronger” that leaked in June now has an official home. It is the featured song on a new trailer for the LeBron James documentary, “More Than A Game.”

“More Than A Game” tells the story of LeBron and four of his teammates from his Ohio high school basketball team. It follows the Cleveland Cavilers small forward throughout his pursuit of his NBA career. The movie is scheduled for an October 2 release.

Written by Chris Brown, “Stronger” lyrics celebrate triumph and thank a partner for unyielding support through trials. It is unclear whether Chris wrote the song about enduring the scrutiny of his Rihanna assault or if the song was written after the incident.

However, the record is good enough to begin shifting the public’s attention back to Chris’ music and could earn Mary and Chris a top 10 hit.

Chris co-wrote several of his own songs, including hits “Kiss Kiss” and “Take You Down.” He also is a contributor to Rihanna’s “Disturbia.”

My Take: LeBron James is my favorite player in the NBA (the BEST player too), so i’m kinda loving that ‘Stronger’ is on his documentary =). Oh and lets hope that ‘Stronger’ becomes a hit record. It SHOULD, and i think it will, because it’s a great song with great lyrics that a lot of people can relate to. And it doesn’t hurt that it’s a CB & MJB collabo!

    At first, when I listened to the song months ago, I liked it but didn’t listen to it again. But after reading this post, I listened to it again and now I just cant stop.
    Maybe it’s because I nevervknew Chris wrote it. I thought Keri Hilson did. But now that I know Chris wrote, corny as it sounds, I’m close to tears. These lyrics, especially sung by someone like Mary J, are just so…moving and inspirational that I can’t stop listening to it. And, as an aspiring writer, I’ll give credit where it is writfully due and say that, Chris did an AMAZING job writing this song. Idk if it was before or after the incident, but right now, it’s so true.
    When I’m listening to this song, I try to listen to it as a message from Chris to his fans. Almost like a thanks, hold on tight, we’re almost there, let’s prove the haters wrong! And I can’t help but feel great when I think of that. So personally, I love this song, and I believe that this is the first song I have heard since Superhuman that has moved me this much. Maybe I’m just a sucker for those type of songs, but if Chris’s next CD is anything like this, I have a feeling I’ll be crying through every track lol!

    The song is beautiful but I'm still partial to Ester's version. Although Mary will bring it recognition throughout the industry!

    Chris has written most of the leaked songs so you can hear the progression of his writing skills.
    He's writng from the heart. I think this is more about his faith and a higher power than thanking a "partner". It may have been written before "the night". Who knows what trial and tribulations he was going through that his fans weren't aware of . Either way it's very deep, spiritual and moving.

    And let's give props to Ester as well she co wrote that beautiful song.

        I truly think it's bogus florida_girl. I believe that they were blocks away from one another. Who knows if he had a dinner meeting that had been planned earlier. The media isn't going to give him a break. It's as if he has never lived in NY and have no connections there. HER fans don't have a clue.

        In my opinion, the look on Chris' face is priceless so I doubt very seriously that Chris is stalking her. He needs to access some new strategy for getting around if he's going to stay longer, though. His sentencing is less than a week to go, maybe it's time to return to L.A. if he has no more business to take care of. I don't want her to be the reason but she is the reason. I think he doesn't want to feel like she can run him out of town or maybe he's tired of sucking it up. But too much is being made of it so "My Tina" better get on the job and straighten it out.

    When "Stronger" as first leaked, it had several versions including Mary J & Keri Hilson. Honestly, I was feeling Keri's interpretation more at the time. However when I gave Mary's version another listen from the WOTHW-REDEMPTION mix tape, I LOVED IT! As usual, Mary sings from her heart with the passion & commitment required for any listener and/or song writer to ecstatically get excited by. She always brings it home!

    Chris' hook is so powerful as he repeatedly sings STRONGER, I feel his strength ascending. It's no wonder Lebrons team decided too use this song because like Lebron, it's a winner!

    Kudos too Chris for writing it & Mary for her lyrical genuis:D

    Hey guys, I went over to T M Z to see the video of Chris supposedly "stalking" Rihanna outside of that restauraunt–first of all, it was BS; the paparrazzi wouldn't let Chris's SUV get through traffic, and Chris wasn't even driving.
    Rihanna was just seen prancing out of a restaraunt that was supposedly right across the street but they never showed how close Chris's car was to the restaraunt. So, that was a waste of my time basically. They are just trying to make a story out of nothing.

    But ANYWAYS, I came on here because on a previous post about Chris–the one where he's posing for a picture with the two female cops–there was this comment that I thought was a great example of a female that busted up her guy just as bad as he busted her up and they were the same age and everything. I know we're all trying to move past this crap, but I thought it was interesting;

    I heard this song a while ago…beautiful song and Mary J. IS MY GURL!!!! LOVE ME SOME MARY! She always sings with so much passion and emotion. You can REALLY feel her words in her songs when she sings. Her music is so inspirational and I listen to Mary A LOT! She went through a lot in the past but turned her life around and uses her music to help other young girls and women that are going through rough times. I know that God touched this lady and there was a spiritual connection with her and Aaliyah in 2001 when she died… don’t ask, too complicated to explain. Chris definitely has the talent to write beautiful songs. This is a great song for that special someone in your life that completes you and inspires you to become a better person or even a great song about a higher power. It could go either way. Wow, and Mary is shooting the video in NY today! That great! I hope that Chris makes an appearance in it as well. I LOVE ME SOME MARY! THAT’S MY GURL!!! Yep, God has HUGE plans for Chris.
