Even if this rumour isn't true. BET should be ashamed of themselves for putting Michael's name on the ground. There was no tribute. The O'Jays got a better tribute. I think the Grammy's would have been a better place to pay tribute to MJ simply because BET could never pull it off. There was no need to rush. One performance at the end would have been more than enough.

exactly. Chris is the best performer IN the game right now. He deserves to give tribute at a classier, well-put-together awards show that has their shit on point. MTV has three months to get the VMA's together and they've already said that if BET didn't use Chris for a tribute, they would. And now, I'm almost glad he didn't perform because now we get to see just how many people are still behind him. And it's a win-win because MTV gets more viewers, and Chris can make a well-deserved comeback. Not to make it all about that–it is a tribute for the king of pop–but those are just bonuses.

I am reading differ stories about the situation. I blame BET for the entire things. BET should have respected Jackson's family wishes and allow CB to perform. Even Michael Jackson himself is a fan of CB. MJ stated it in the Ebony magazine. BET did not put on a right tribute for MJ. They used this incident to get ratings. BET has lost numerous viewers becuz of what they did.
