Again, we would like to send our prayers out to the family of Michael Jackson. I’m still in disbelief. MJ is the biggest star ever and has impacted so many of our lives, including Chris. I’m sure we all have our MJ memories growing up…I know I do.

At this time we all know of the BET Awards that will be happening this Sunday. We can all expect it to be a somber show – and full of tributes to the King of Pop. But one question on the minds of many is “will Chris be there to do a tribute?” I don’t know about you, but lets be honest – Chris is probably the one who would do it best. We all know how Chris has always mentioned how MJ was an inspiration to him and how he always payed homage to him in his concerts. Also we remember the award shows where Chris was the highlight – all because of imitating Michael. And despite all that’s going on in Chris’ life right now – I think people should put whatever feelings they have towards Chris aside and just accept the fact that it’s about celebrating Michael Jackson’s life…and having Chris be a part of that would only be right.

Twitter fans, there has already been a popular twitition going around trying to get Chris to perform a tribute. If you haven’t already signed, you can view it here.

But I have a feeling our wishes may come true somehow. Someone close to Chris has hinted that “something amazing is going to happen.” So fingers crossed, lets hope the BET Awards make this happen, I think fans of Michael would appreciate it.

-Whitney

You know, in a bittersweet way, I almost think that Mj's passing can help Chris get his career back on track. I've been on Twitter and a lot of people are saying that he is basically "next in line to the throne" so…I'm praying that he will be there to pay tribute to MJ and make a huge comeback that will help his career soar to a completely different level.

    R.I.P. MJ…Chris, it's up to you now…

      OMG!!!!!!! Thankyou

  • TONY

Please..BET will not alllow that to happen..letting someone who just plead guilty to beating rihanna..would be soo contridicting to Michael Jackson..he was abused and letting someone who abused someone would give off a horrible perspective to having a tribute to MJ. MJ maybe dead physically but mentally, in the entertainment industry, and in so many peoples hearts, his spirit is alive and well, and that man will never die!! Letting chris do the tribute…will give mixed feelings…im not hating …just being realistic

    • Kaleyia

o please and yes u is hating stupid ass. and no your really not being realistic. so you need to stop.

      • Huh

Kaleyia your not an intellectual are you now?

    • Kali

PEOPLE NEED TO LET-THAT-GO!! NOBODY EVEN KNOWS WAT REALLY HAPPENED N CELEBS ARE STARTIN TO HINT THERES MORE TO THAT STORY. WE ARE TRYING TO CELEBRATE MJ'S LIFE AND CHRIS'S PERSONAL LIFE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!!!

      • Brittney

his personal life DOESNT have anything to with it eveybody talking about what happend like they have never done anything we all have sin

    • Mercedes

FUCK ALL THAT. We just lost a LEGEND. Somebody who MADE BET what it was. Without MJ, BET would cease to exist. EVERYBODY knows that if they have a tribute CHRIS DESERVES TO BE ON THAT STAGE. Fuck what happened. Its OVER. He got his sentence & he's doing his time. Don't sit there & fucking compare Joe Jackson KICKING HIS KIDS ASS to Chris getting in a fight w| Rihanna. Your fucking stupid. MJ loved everybody NO MATTER WHAT THEY DID. Take his advice.

    • kristin

REGARDLESS no matter the negative side of mj or chris brown they are both great artist and chris brown was inspired by mj so i think he should have tribute to the awards show…..micheal jackson was beat as a child and chris brown grow up with someone abusing his mother and people are still gonna pass judgement on whatever it is not matter positive or negative

  • Maleyia

Who is that "someone" that hinted "Something amazing is going to happen"?

  • cooma

NO WAY..its to late in the production to have a Major Tribute for michael…something will be done in honor of him…but that "something amazing" will probley not include chris, BET themselves gave reason in why chris wasnt nominated or part of the production and that was before he plead guilty, they arent going to let that happen, i bet money on it

    Hey guys!
listen to this new song paying tribute to MJ (Chris sings the chorus)
“Better on the Other Side” the EXCLUSIVE Michael Jackson tribute: GAME, CHRIS BROWN, MARIO WINANS, BOYS 2 MEN, DIDDY, POLOW THE DON

    http://radiobigboy.com/?p=3210

this song is really nice. RIP MJ

  • jay

i am sorry but chris just plead guilty . it is way to early for chris to make a come back. and he for damn sure don't need to use micheal death to do this. that would not be a good look. and there are way to many people still mad at chris right now. him doing a tribute would not be a good look. chris has not even made his public statement he is waiting till august. i mean it would be nice to see but i don't think it will happen.

  • Rip Mj
  • think about chris

    Jay,
I am approaching you with love because this is a sad day for all of us. I think that, if nothing else, Michael Jackson's death should teach us to love each other while we have each other. It's so funny to me how all of the tabloids are singing his praises right now, when they were a major source of ridicule for him. They contributed to making his life miserable and now, if they have any heart at all, I hope that they feel badly about it.

I don't believe that Chris is using Michael's death as a comeback at all. He openly expressed his admiration for Michael Jackson throughout his entire career. My point is that we know how our hearts ache over the death of Michael Jackson. Well Chris idolized him, so I can only imagine what he feels like. Michael was his inspiration, so if there had never been an entertainer named Michael Jackson, there probably would have never been an entertainer named Chris Brown. That's why, to me, it's very fitting that he contributed to making this song.

    • sunshine

Well said…I am so tried of people acting like they never made a mistake in life…. for Chris he is in the public eye…she walked away from this and took no responsibilty but Chris did and even though I hate what happened that night it did happen and its time for people to move on…they did Micheal the same way in 2005 saying he touched those kids and the LAPD tried to destroy Micheal in that last case but Mike kept fighting and Chris will too..People let it go and lets move on with LOVE.

  • aniya

    @TONY, cooma and Jay
Tell that to the 2500 people who signed this: http://twitition.com/vhhj3

  • Lotus

To all those who find fitting to just bash someone of their wrong doing!! I say to you this we all deserve a second chance and I believe whole heartedly that chris would not do this for a comeback it would been done in pure rememberance of MJ. There comes a time when god will mark ur words!!! I feel for u people I really do!!!

    • jay

how do you feel for us you all were the same people talking about rihanna like a dog like she was not some ones child and sister. you all till this day can not stand her and she did nothing to you. but in the same breath say that we are suppose to forgive chris and micheal for the bad things that happened in there life. i do agree chris needs a second chance and that people should not accuse micheal of messing with children when he was never found guilty of those crimes. but take a look in the mirror at your damn self and look at all the hateful things you all wished on another human that you DO NOT fucking know. all i was trying to say is that i know chris and we all love micheal but right now in chris life that would not be a good move at all. why would chris even want to do a tribute on bet when they banned his ass before he even plead guilty.

      • Angel

Actually sweetie, I've come to understand that not all Chris fans "hate" Rihanna. A lot of them prayed for the both of them. Secondly young one, Bet did NOT ban him. Get ur facts straight b4 u go talking out ur neck.

People need to put away all this pettiness n foolishness! We jus lost the greatest entertainer. If we wanna celebrate his life we need to celebrate it the right way with the most talent.

Look at all these celebs and I bet I can name sooooooooo many damn mistakes n flaws they have. Especially people in the music industry. You got people smoking weed, killin people but nobody wants says anything bout that. I know for a fact that some of those rappers killed a few people but people still welcome them with open arms. Why? How come nobody is bashing them and wishing their career over. For the most part their being praised! At least Chris knows his wrong mistakes. Hes human just like WE ALL are no matter how huge the mistake.

I swear people need some jesus in their life. They nailed him on the cross, spit at him, whipped him n cursed at him…and he forgave them. I wish people would love like he loves.

    • THOU

Hes using this opportunity to get back in the limelight and into folks good graces
He is doing this for a comeback
Some just dont want to admit it
      hes an opportunist

  • T,F

Chris Brown should be part of Michael Jackson tribute on BET Awards. Michael Jackson has inspired Chris Brown. People should stop judging others on their lives and just focus on the gifts that God has given them.

BET should do the right thing and allow Chris Brown to perform for Michael Jackson tribute.

  • LadyInRed
  • LadyInRed

Yes, we all do indeed have our memories of MJ growing up. I know that this will be a lot to read but I just got to say this and get this off my chest… being that I haven’t said much of anything IN MONTHS. Sorry in advance for the novel lol.

Well, now that I’ve made it home from work. I’m feeling a little better. I had a hard time concentrating on my work today though. I know they BETTER let Chris do a tribute to Michael. Man, I’m always a cool, calm, and collected person becus I’m a Christian. But man I’ll jump through that T.V. if they don’t let that boy perform on BET! My co-worker were laughing @ me today when I walked up to them (in my gangsta alto ego becus they can’t imagine seeing me like that) around the corner as they were discussing the about Micheal and those kids.

  • LadyInRed

Contin…Man, it was casual Friday too! I walk around there with my arm in the air and finger pointed saying “look I don’t want to hear no negative stuff about Mike today” Then I got in my boxing stance and said “Don’t make my hood alto ego come out on ya”. Then I started bobbing and weaving lol. We tried to have some kind of happiness today considering how some of us took the news yesterday. We played Mike’s music all day today and our supervisor even told us to turn UP the music. Shoot, we started doing the Thriller routine and everything and how bout me and another co-worker busted out in the “Remember The Times” routine lol. So, I guess you could say that there was laughter and sorrow at the same time.

  • LadyInRed

Contin…I think that Chris DESERVES to pay this special tribute to Michael becus his career started and revolves around that man. Everyone @ work were saying that they knew that everybody who grew up with Mike in the 80’s had some kind of memory of the man. Shoot, I know I do becus I been a supporter of his for over 26 yrs. He became my first crush when I saw him do “Billie Jean on t.v. back in ‘83 and I was a little girl then. I discovered my talent for drawing by drawing my first sketch of him back in ’84. Don’t laugh but I am currently wearing my MJ t-shirt from ’84 with the glitter glove on the front lol… yes, I can still wear it although it fits different now but not in a bad way lol. I remember those penny loafers that I rocked back then… I even bust my butt one time in those things becus they were so slippery lol. The “Wiz” will always be my favorite movie becus I would put it on when I would feel sad or depressed and it would always cheer me up.

  • LadyInRed

Contin…Michael was a GREAT INNOVATOR OF MUSIC and was constantly EVOLVING. His music and videos were MAGICAL (his favorite word lol). His music had A MESSAGE and he himself had A VISION! I love the fact that MICHAEL IS THE ONLY ARTIST THAT I KNOW OF THAT BECAME A LEGEND WITHOUT THE USE OF EXPLICIT LYRICS NOR RAUNCY MUSIC AND DANCING. Shoot, “Lady In MY Life” made me want to have him become my baby daddy back then. Shoot, I even wanted to marry that man during the “Thriller” Era! Me and my co-worker both joked about that becus she did too lol! I will always love him for this and he had such a beautiful heart and spirit.

  • LadyInRed

Contin… He was there for Ryan White the young boy who died of aids back in the mid 80’s. He even comforted other families through there loss. He was there supporting Ryan White’s family when he attending Ryan’s funeral… he even let them bury Ryan in his Beat It jacket. Well, he and his friend Farrah are now joining his best friends Ryan and Princess Diana in heaven now. I followed Mike through all of his CD eras. I’m going to go through my collection of his books, tapes, and CD,s this weekend. His message was of LOVE AND PEACE! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND CHERISH MICHAEL. THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL AND LOVING PERSON LIKE HIM.

  • LadyInRed

Contin…I truly believe that he was God sent. I know for a fact that God was a big part of his life and was always in his heart. I truly believe God used him and gave him a heart for those little ones who were sick and in the hospital. I WILL ALWAYS CHERISH THE MEMORY HIS SELFLESS GIVING TO THOSE HURTING AND IN NEED. He gave so much of himself without a second thought. I’m going to just twitter my other MANY memories of Michael’s life and music on my twitter page.

BET KNOW THAT THEY BETTER LET CHRIS PAY TRIBUTE TO MIKE!!!!!!!! LET THE BOY HAVE AT LEAST THIS ONE THING!!!!!!!

  • asia

bet made a mistake by not leting chris perform he would have made mj happy no one can do it better than chris especailly jamie or neyo they didnt even have no one dancing at all they should have let that happen bet sucks right now and the awards were not that good cause they didnt let chris do what he do best they are childish and petty everyone loved mj and that would have been real good to see chris dance he would have made the jackson family and mj prond
