Will Rihanna’s leaked police photo drain the life from the prosecution’s case against Chris Brown?

If Brown attorney Mark Geragos has his way, it will.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg today set a preliminary hearing for May 28 on Brown’s double felony case—the result of Geragos pushing for as late a court date as possible to allow him adequate time to respond to the still-pending investigation into just how Rihanna’s police photo was released.

Should the gruesome photos’ appearance prove to be the result of a police transgression, Geragos told E! News that he will move to have Brown’s entire case dismissed.

“The leaks can form the basis for a motion to dismiss the case in regards to outrageous governmental misconduct,” Geragos said.

Neither Rihanna nor Brown were present for today’s hearing, though the “Umbrella” singer’s interests—and those of her jewelers—were represented in the courtroom.

    I really think that Rihanna's camp released that picture and if so, that will really kill her!!!! Remember in that Vibe magazine article where the ex-bodyguard said that he believed that someone in one of their camps leaked the photo? I was thinking that all along. I might be crazy but I think that it was something that Rihanna and Melissa did to turn the public against Chris. That's why I say that would kill her, it would show how vengeful and vindictive she is. When she did it, she was still mad at Chris, but she did not expect it to go this far. I realized that there was never any more mention of the police investigation and I was wondering what happened with that. I don't want Chris to get off on a technicality, though. I want it to be proven that he was defending himself because that it what I really believe happened. It's obvious that he did not beat her to a pulp.

    omg if chris brown mark geragos i think thats his last name but i dont know how to spell it if he can dismiss chris brown and everything goes good and chris dont get jail time i will put mark geragos one if his pics on my page saying how much i thank him and if i can get to wear he lives i will send him a letter of how much im thankful for him doing this for chris and all chris brown fans should come together and give him a appreciation latter and piccs
