I really wish that Chris would speak out and tell his side of the story. Hopefully then people won't dog him out so bad. I don't in any way condone violence against women, but I still think that he is a very sweet person. Some women and girls still support Chris because we don't believe everthing that is fed to us. I'm not saying that she is lying, but I do think that she is omitting some parts. I'm confused about the keys too, because the first report says that she threw the keys out of the car, now they are saying that she sat on them. It seems petty to think about, but if someone has just beat the hell out of you why would you STILL try to restrain them by taking their keys. That doesn't make sense to me, even if you have battered women's syndrome.

People in general these days are so twisted. I'm convinced the there are far more "bad" people out there than "good". Do you think God is sitting up there saying "Throw him under the jail! His career is OVER. Feel my wrath! He hit my princess ri-ri" Nah. God doesn't work that way. None of us are perfect and to go through this life without making a mistake is unrealistic. God isn't up there tearing YOU or your parents to shreds for having you out of wedlock and the list goes on. Yes what he did was wrong. . . . VERY wrong. A real man should be strong enough to walk away from a woman even if she puts her hands on him first. At this point his career shouldn't even matter because he starts ANYTHING (even a relationship) he needs to get help for the issues he didn't get help for in his past. Also if Rihanna did hit him first then she needs help as well because she'll run into this problem with every man she dates.

all you have to do is slip up..once twice, it doesnt matter…you are considered guilty by law and need to face jail time..why does it matter that he slipped up "once", when if you really knew a thing about chris brown, he wasnt an angel before he became an artist..it shouldnt matter when or how many times you mess up in life, as long as you be a man about it and face responsiblites for your action, thats all that should matter..not whether or not this is your "fist time"

and just because some criminals get away with murder or rape, doesnt mean its right…those people who got away with crime, its on them, chris isnt getting away from it, hitting a woman no matter how many times you did it,. doesnt make it ok the first second third or fourth time, anyone that commits a crime, no matter if its there first, will face the law, because its only right..

Brown Wants Misdemeanor Plea, No Jail Time

Sources tell TMZ Chris Brown will cop a plea, but only to a misdemeanor and with no jail time.

We're told Brown's people have consulted with outside legal eagles — including law school professors — who have said Rihanna's own aggressiveness takes it out of the felony category. Sources say Rihanna was the first one to strike — slapping and striking Brown "numerous times" while he was driving, after seeing the text message from another woman. And Rihanna was fighting Brown as he punched and hurt her. We're told much of this is reflected in the official police report based on what Rihanna told cops. As a result, they say, this is not a case that demands a felony plea.

On the other side, there are plenty of cases in which the woman engages the man in a fight but the jury convicts the male because it was an unfair fight and the man could have walked away. The photographs of Rihanna — the most graphic of which have not been seen by the public — demonstrate Brown's superior strength. Add to that the fact that Brown had no significant injuries and it presents problems for him.

Perhaps worse for Brown, sources tell TMZ Rihanna told cops he had beaten her before and the violence had been escalating.

And there's this. According to the detective's note filed with the search warrant papers, Brown sent a text message to Rihanna's assistant in which he apologized for what he had done to Rihanna and said he was getting help. That would be admissible in court and extremely damaging — as a legal admission.

i mean look at R Kelly for Pete's sake! he went away for a while and came out with like three or four hit songs in a row! I mean, I'm a flirt is the shit! even though it basically confirms that he some kind of player pedifile. im not even going to lie…i didn't even want R Kelly to go to jail. that's good music. i still download his songs like nobody's business and i know a ton of other people who have too.
the ONLY thing tht R Kelly probably had as an advantage over chris is the fact that he never portrayed himself as that boy next door. r kelly was a pimp from the start. i mean ppl were surprised when they first heard what he did but after awhile it's like, well what did we expect? so…idk….i really hope that difference doesn't affect the outcome of this too much.
