Chris Brown/Rihanna Break “Explained”

*Us Weekly is quoting a source who claims to know the relationship status regarding Chris Brown and Rihanna.

“They’re taking a break,” the spy explains. “Jay-Z told Rihanna she needs to cut things out with Chris, at least in public.”

As Brown awaits felony charges in connection with Rihanna’s beating, the two have been spending time apart on opposite coasts. As previously reported, Brown was seen touring Norfolk State University with family members this week, while Rihanna was house hunting in Los Angeles.

According to the magazine, Brown is said to be hiding out in a house in Montpelier, Va., although he recently emerged to buy 14 baseball caps at a local Lids store.

“He said, ‘It’s not what it seems’ about the Rihanna situation,” salesperson Shavon Bradshaw told Us Weekly.

Meanwhile, Rihanna was looking to buy something substantially bigger than baseball caps. Among the houses she checked out on Monday was a $6.25 million home once owned by Jerry Seinfeld.

Usmagazine.com tracked down her real estate agent, Russ Filice of Sotheby’s International Realty, who said of the singer’s demeanor during the showing, “She was in a great mood,” never mentioned Chris Brown, and “there were no scars, no bruises, no nothing. [She is] very sweet, very pretty.”

The 5,913-square-foot, three-bedroom Hollywood Hills home “has incredible views, a contemporary pool and is very private,” he adds.

“Rihanna just started her search. She looked at three homes with three assistants and a driver,” added Filice. “Her questions were centered around her lifestyle in the house; how she could entertain, how private it is.”

“She wants a home with a great view,” Filice told rival outlet E! News, adding the singer spent about 15 to 20 minutes at the Hollywood Hills property.

I don't care for Rihanna, I hate the way she's been going about with the whole situation and now she's going out for attention but is happy to let rumours flow, with out clearing anything up, she doesn't have to speak about the incident but she could at least address some of the rumours going around with a statement done by her Pr team but she rather go out clubbing and at like single girl out on town and nothing ever went down.

I understand people are praying for both but for me I am praying for Chris only, I did once pray for Rihanna too but I know out of the two Chris needs the prayers more, she is not the one facing jail or could be convicted, so right now who's worrying and feeling the pressure and negative press more is Chris not Rihanna.
She's still got her endorsements deals and she's not going anywhere in terms of her career but people are will willing to right Chris off, I am so glad Jive didn't drop him and Chris is back in the studio.
I won't ever be buying her records again and I mean it too, even if I like one of her songs, I can forgive but I will never forget the day she made Chris Brown one of the most hated people in 2009, for her stupid antics and jealous behaviour, we don't know what Rihanna's like when she's angry but s she's a woman she gets cast as victim and miss innocent, smh at society

Why is it so hard to believe that she put her hands on him before? In an interview he said he walks away. Exactly. All i keep hearing is it's not Rihanna's fault Chris is in this mess.

There were no witnesses, all the LAPD/DA have is her statement and that statement is graphic and paints Chris as a monster and serial abuser.
The first stuff reported said he had been becoming more and more violent over time. I understand that TMZ twisted that but Rihanna gave the police the statement.

And if Rihanna was beaten to a bloody pulp the paramedics would have taken her to the hospital, she would not have gone there later in her own car.

I do not know Rihanna personally but I have seen plenty of women like her. She is a honey trap.

There are women who set up their boyfriends, there are women who do what that woman did in the film 'IT'S A THIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND HATE' to men.

I think that the lie was a mixture of Rihanna and the LAPD filled in the blanks. I don't think that TMZ per se lied because the same affadavit is on cnn and that is a reputable site. I think that Rihanna was probably blundering through her testimony and when she couldn't answer some questions the LAPD did it for her. But don't worry because the truth is coming out. When people really settle down and look, they will know that she's lying. No one can get punched that many times and not have a single broken bone. I really think that her camp released that photo, too, because no one has ever heard anything else about the police investigation leak. I'm determined, however, that if I have anything to do with it, Rihanna is going to be exposed. I know that she can't change her statement because of all that she will lose, but look at what he has lost. I don't think that she meant for it to go this far, but that doesn't really matter because it has and she needs to pay for her part in it.

There is 2 things I wanted to add:

1. Rihanna got that tattoo to tell everyone that she is a bad girl.
It is a message to everyone.
She wants everyone to stop calling her a victim. Instead of coming out with a statement she is showing us all of us that she is in control and she is no victim to Chris.
But the media are not getting her message.

R Kelly sells more albums now (after his trial where he got off of numerous felony charges) but R kelly does not appear in public, he doesnt go to award ceremonies, he doesnt even get nominated for anything and he only does rare interviews.

Chris was alwaysthe pretty boy heartthrob in the limelight, front and center stage and nominated for everything. He was at every awards show and everyone in the business loved and respected him. Hell he won 3 awards at the AMA's last year including the top prize, artist of the year. He won 5 NIck awards too.

That will change even if we don't want it to and unless some miracle happens or Rihanna can convince the public and media that they just had a fight which turned nasty, he is always going to be labelled a woman beater and baby Ike Turner.

People are even calling him that on Younglove.net and they call themselves fans. ?!?

I would like to know why does everyone think that Chis is trying so hard to get back with Rihanna, I truly think it's the other way around, she trying so hard to get him back, because she the one who started this whole mess.
