Chris Brown performing

Any mere mention of the name Chris Brown from the show’s hosts sent the young, female and generally besotted audience into screaming fits. Brown’s headlining set was, in kind, less a performance of music than a celebration of Chris Brown-ness, a flaming nebula of charisma that made whatever snippet of song he tackled largely beside the point. Brown is probably the best dancer in pop music today (a hugely underrated skill), and he turned over a big portion of his set to a gang of nimble kids who joined him in several dance-offs that surely left phantom pains in the joints of all adults in the room. Hits like “No Air” and “Kiss Kiss” were perfectly competent windows-down confections, but each were subsumed in the sheer wattage of Brown’s star power. So goes Jingle Ball as a whole — a good song will get you on the radio, but you have to rise above the playlist to stay there.

    Great Review ! All of us who have been to a Chris Brown concert knows the type of show he gives. AWESOME ! I’m glad to see him back in the states still getting his shine on !

    Yeah thats a great review, one thing about Chris, you can never knock his performances because he always gives 150%, his great live and that’s why loads of people want to see him, I can’t for January, 02 arena. Bring it Chris

    that review pretty much sums up Chris. and i love how that writer pointed out how dancing is underrated, cuz it is. Chris is the best performer on the planet. who else out there dances as great as he does, and on top of that, can sing as good as he can, AT THE SAME TIME?!? NOBODY! most performers just stand still on stand or walk around on stage and sing, but chris unlike anybody else gives u MORE than just that, he puts on a complete SHOW and PERFORMANCE for his fans, by dancing and singing, etc.

    Chris was great in his performances, LIKE ALWAYS. he was the star of the event, LIKE ALWAYS. it was like a chris brown concert. he’s the best, POINT BLANK.
