I just finished having a conversation with one of my good friends, Devin from Oh-Rihanna.com, and I have concluded that change must come, in order for the current state of this and other fansites, similar to ours in popularity and stature, to continue to prosper and support their respective artist. If you have no clue as to what I am referring to, please, let me spell it out for you. A lot has been going on behind the screen of the site and it is stressful, and has lead to many vicissitudes in my life. Understand that I have been creating fansites since I was eight, and I am now seventeen. I have established countless successful fansites, but Chris Brown Web is the only one that I have valued so much. I have practically ruined my personal life over and it is because not only do I appreciate the visitors, the talent, and the potential longevity that Chris Brown has, but also it is the fact that I enjoy the glory that comes with having a successful website that visitors love, worldwide. However, I cannot and will not continue to go on as if all is well between the site and people that I will choose to keep anonymous. They know who they are, because they are “Chris Brown”. The website has been in existence since 2005. It is 2007 and we have yet to receive the recognition that we deserve. I am not trying to say that we are a powerhouse and a huge conglomerate with the forces necessary to ruin a complete career, but we are an intricate player in a game that seems to favor the big dogs. I do not think that management realizes how much they would lose out on if CBWeb were to close. They do not realize that we keep the fans interested in Christopher Maurice Brown. We put our lives aside for hours, sometimes days, at a time and deliver the best we can – and frankly, it is a damn lot. Do not get me wrong, I am an avid fan of Chris Brown, but you must understand where I am coming from. I am sick of ignored requests, or if they are responded to, it is a negative reply. I do not do this site for the sake of my health. I do it simply to aid Chris Brown as a fan. Without fans, the artist is nothing. Therefore, therefore I hope someone realizes the ability a fan-site has. As stated before, we cannot wreck a career, but we can sure put a damper on it. If something does not occur soon, it might be just a moment too late that we receive a fraction of what we deserve and not all will end on terms that are good for the sake of the artist as well as the record label and Management Company. This is a fair warning to not only to the fans, but to Chris Brown, himself, and to the Tina Davis Company. We are not afraid any longer. I refuse to sit and passively wait for something that may never occur. We appreciate your love and interest in the website, but we WILL NOT continue in this current state. I am not saying that we are closing as of now, but if nothing changes, know that it would take only the click of a few fields and the site would be forever gone. Fanatics, we love you and we know that some of you may agree, and others may not. Know this, we are not coming down on you, just asking for your support. However, do not lose your passion for Chris Brown. Sincerely,Dominique Houston
